What to Do When Your Brain Clocks Out at 2 pm
We’ve all been there: it’s 2 pm, your coffee’s worn off, and your brain decides it’s done for the day - even though your to-do list says otherwise.
Before you give in to the slump, try these simple (and on-site) ways to recharge right here at Toast and Jam Community :

1. Take a Brain Break Walk
Step outside for a quick walk around the block or just do a few laps in the building.
A change of scenery and a little movement can get the ideas flowing again.
2. Refuel (and Rehydrate)
Grab a fresh cup of coffee or tea from the snack and coffee bar.
Or better yet, a glass of water. Your brain might just be asking for a hydration break.

3. Chat with a Fellow Member
A 5-minute conversation with someone in the community can be surprisingly energizing.
You never know, you might even get a fresh perspective on a project.

4. Stretch It Out
Do a few desk-friendly stretches or use one of our quiet corners to breathe and reset.
Your back (and brain) will thank you.
5. Switch the Soundtrack
Pop in your headphones and play a motivating playlist - or ambient focus music - to ease back into productivity mode.

The afternoon slump is real—but so are the ways to beat it.
You’ve got this. 💪
